For instance, Li Bai's "I my cup to invite the bright moon, facing my shadow we become three" expresses a lonely yet romantic sentiment through the moon; and Wang Wei's "The bright moon shines the pine forest, clear spring flows over the rocks" uses the moon to outline the serene night scene in the mountains.
