在2026年CES展上,芬兰初创公司DonutLab推出的号称全球首款可量产全固态电池引发行业热议,相关信息如下:
一、企业背景
DonutLab是2024年底从电动摩托车制造商VergeMotorcycles分拆出的技术公司,起源于芬兰、总部位于爱沙尼亚,创始人MarkoLehtimaki同时担任两家公司的创始人,这种关联使其能紧密对接整车应用需求。该公司目前是初创企业,拆分仅1年,此前母公司成立约七八年。
二、电池核心参数与特性
1. 能量密度:宣传目标为400Wh/kg,目前实际达350Wh/kg,高于常规三元锂电池(250-350Wh/kg),但低于行业对全固态电池超500Wh/kg的预期,也不及奔驰测试的450Wh/kg固态电池。
2. 充电速度:宣传5分钟快充至100%,但官网充电曲线显示5分钟时电量仅约80%;搭载该电池的Verge量产电动摩托车,实际为10分钟充至80%,可补能300公里。
3. 循环寿命:实验室数据标称10万次,远超当前锂电池水平(比亚迪刀片电池约3000次,普通锂电约1500次);但Verge整车对外承诺为1万次。若按10万次循环、Verge摩托600公里续航计算,理论总里程达6000万公里,年行驶6万公里可使用1000年。
4. 安全与环境适应性:不含液态电解质,从根源消除起火风险;在-30℃至100℃环境下可保留99%以上电量,无需复杂主动冷却系统。
5. 材料与成本:采用非传统全固态电池技术路线,不含钴、镍、锂、稀土等稀有敏感材料,使用储量丰富的绿色环保材料,宣称成本低于传统锂电池,可实现全球本地化生产,还能自定义电池形态适配不同场景。
三、量产与应用计划
1. 电池预计2026年第一季度实现量产,初期年产能1吉瓦时。
2. 率先搭载于Verge的TSPro和Ultra电动摩托车,已开启预订,美国市场裸车2.99万美元起。该摩托标准版续航350公里,大容量版达595公里,零百加速最快2.5秒,配备NACS充电接口,峰值充电功率200kW。
3. 后续计划与电动车公司WATTEV合作,打造结合Donut电池与电机技术的超轻量化模块化电动汽车平台。
四、行业争议与质疑
1. 进度超前存疑:业内普遍预期全固态电池2027年才有望量产,部分观点认为2030年才会商业化,DonutLab的量产进度远超行业节奏,且所有性能数据均为厂商自测,无第三方机构验证。
2. 宣传与实际不符:快充、能量密度等核心参数的宣传描述与实际展示的测试数据存在出入。
3. 技术与产能质疑:作为初创企业,其大规模量产的技术稳定性、生产工艺可行性被质疑;且公司与Verge关联紧密,被认为存在资本运作嫌疑,Verge此前有2019年概念车拖延交付的前科。
4. 量产障碍犹存:全固态电池大规模量产普遍面临材料稳定性、生产工艺复杂度、新产线建设成本等问题,DonutLab的落地能力有待验证。


The world's first all-solid-state battery launched by DonutLab


At the 2026 CES Show, DonutLab, a Finnish startup, launched what it claims to be world's first mass-producible all-solid-state battery, which has sparked industry discussions. The relevant information is as follows:


1. Corporate Background
utLab is a technology company that was spun off from electric motorcycle manufacturer Verge Motorcycles at the end of 2024. It originated in Finland and is headquartered inia. The founder, Marko Lehtimaki, is also the founder of both companies, which allows it to closely connect with the application needs of the whole vehicle. The is currently a startup, having been spun off for only one year, and its parent company was established about seven or eight years ago.
2. Key Parameters and Characteristics the Battery
(1). Energy Density: The advertised target is 400 Wh/kg, currently reaching 350 Wh/kg in practice, which is than the conventional ternary lithium battery (250-350 Wh/kg), but below the industry's expectations for all-solid-state batteries with 500 Wh/kg, and also below the 450 Wh/kg solid-state battery tested by Mercedes-Benz.
(2). Charging Speed: is advertised that it can be quickly charged to 100% in 5 minutes, but the charging curve on the official website shows that the battery is only about 8% at 5 minutes; the actual Verge production electric motorcycle equipped with this battery can be charged to 80% in 10 minutes, which can replenish 00 kilometers.
(3). Cycle Life: The laboratory data is marked at 100,000 times, far exceeding the current lithium battery level (BYD battery about 3000 times, ordinary lithium battery about 1500 times); but Verge's whole vehicle promises 10,000 times to outside world. If calculated at 100,000 cycles and a range of 600 kilometers for Verge motorcycles, the theoretical total mileage reaches 6 million kilometers, which can be used for 1000 years if the vehicle is driven 60,000 kilometers per year.
(4). Safety and Environmentalaptability: It does not contain liquid electrolyte, eliminating the risk of fire at the source; it can retain more than 99% of the electricity in the environment of30℃ to 100℃, and there is no need for a complex active cooling system.
(5). Materials and Cost: It uses a non-traditional allsolid-state battery technology route, which does not contain cobalt, nickel, lithium, rare earth, and other rare sensitive materials, uses abundant green environmental materials, claims to have lower cost than traditional lithium batteries, can achieve global localization of production, and can also customize the shape of the battery to adapt to different scenarios


3. Mass Production and Application Plan
(1). The battery is expected to achieve mass production in the first quarter of 206, with an initial annual capacity of 1 gigawatt-hour.
(2). It will be first equipped on Verge's TSPro and Ultra electric motorcycles, have started pre-orders with a base price of $29,900 for the naked bike in the U.S. market. The standard version of the motorcycle has range of 350 kilometers, and the large-capacity version can reach up to 595 kilometers. It has a zero-to-hundred acceleration of .5 seconds and is equipped with a NACS charging interface with a peak charging power of 200 kW.
(3). It is planned to cooperate with electric vehicle WATTEV to create a super lightweight modular electric vehicle platform that combines the Donut battery with motor technology.
(4). Industry Controversy and Doubts
(1). Progress ahead of schedule is questionable: The industry generally expects all-solid-state batteries to be mass-produced by 2027 at the earliest, and some believe commercialization will not occur until 2030. DonutLab's mass production progress is far ahead of the industry's pace, and all performance data are-tested by the manufacturer without third-party verification.
(2). Discrepancy between promotion and reality: The core parameters such as fast charging and energy density described in the are different from the test data shown in reality.
(3). Doubts about technology and capacity: As a startup, its technology stability for large-scale production and the feasibility production processes are questioned. Moreover, the company has a close relationship with Verge and is suspected of capital manipulation. Verge has a precedent of delaying the delivery of its 019 concept car.
(4). Obstacles to mass production still exist: The mass production of all-solid-state batteries generally faces issues such as material stability, of production processes, and the cost of building new production lines. DonutLab's implementation capability is yet to be verified
